Icon Annotations
Pyro Plot has released a powerful enhancement to its Site Plan Designer: the ability to add customizable icons to Point Annotations. Users can now visually represent critical elements on their site plans, from Police and Fire Department staging areas to spotters, barricades, EMS, or anything else — using a wide range of built-in icon options. Each point can include an icon, a custom label, and color, giving operators the flexibility to clearly communicate exactly what’s happening on site.
This upgrade brings an immediate clarity boost to safety planning and AHJ submissions. Icons appear directly on the map canvas and carry through to exported Site Plan PDFs, ensuring reviewers see a clean, professional, and easy-to-understand layout. Whether you’re coordinating with venues, municipalities, or emergency services, your documentation now speaks visually — reducing ambiguity and speeding up approvals.
As with the rest of the Site Plan Designer, the new icon-enabled Point Annotations are built for real-world display workflows. Add them in seconds, label them however you’d like, and generate white-labeled PDFs that clearly show every operational detail. The feature is included in the Professional Plan alongside unlimited site plans, advanced visualizations, and ATF-compliant inventory management — no add-ons required.
